Our pool is small, safe, warm, private and inviting.  Guests that have stayed with us for residential swimming lessons tell us they wish they hadn't wasted so much time & money with large weekly classes in public pools.

Unlike many private lessons where the instructor stands at the pool side shouting orders down at you, our instructor is in the pool with you at all times and, because of the compact nature of our pool, they are always close at hand.

This is one of the main reasons that you will progress so fast when learning in our pool.

As we can provide residential swimming lessons, once you have arrived, and settled in, you are free to concentrate totally on the task ahead.  Learning to swim should be a worry free experience & we have endeavoured to create a relaxed atmosphere in these tranquil surroundings without the stress or need to travel back and forth during your busy schedule, or indeed forgetting what you learned in the last lesson because there has been a week or more in between.

When we say residential swimming lessons we mean just that!

Our pool is here at Ard na Ciúin, housed in a warm centrally heated pool house. Not miles down the road from where you are staying.

During your stay for residential swimming lessons you will have unlimited use of our Hot-Tub,  a real treat straight after a lesson! or indeed at any time.

As we mentioned earlier, we do not expect you to share swimming lessons with anyone, unless of course, you want to!

Couples Courses

Double Non-Residential course: only €400

Double Residential course:only €800

yes! a discounted rate of €800   saving €200! on the cost of separate courses.

Included in the course fee are additional sessions in order to practice what has been learned with our instructor.

 Here at Ard na Ciúin you have free access to our fully equipped shared guest’s kitchen-diner.

This means, if required, you are able to prepare packed lunches for yourself if out & about between lessons or indeed cook your own evening meal, or just even eat a takeaway!

There's a host of things to do & places to see whilst staying at Ard na Ciúin (see our activities section) or indeed you are very welcome to stay ‘close to home’ & enjoy the peace of this tranquil retreat.
